Go underground on a 1-hour walking history tour through Seattle's original neighborhood. Our experienced guides lead small groups through, and beneath, Pioneer Square to the street level that existed in the 1890s. Explore underground pathways that were built more than 120 years ago, learning details on early Seattle history, why these spaces were built, and how they have been used (and misused) over the years. Marvel at how this once Indian encampment has since transformed into one of the 20 largest cities in the United States.

Mike was an eclectic tour guide who provided us with many great anecdotes of Seattle. Never a dull moment with him! The tour may have been underground but he went above and beyond.

I took this tour back in February and I can honestly say it was one of my favorite things during my stay in Seattle. Our tour guide (I wish I remembered her name, she was lovely) was so informative and kind. She was so knowledgeable and answered all questions asked. I remember the tour starting in front of a coffee shop and then she took us underground and thoroughly went over the history. It was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. Highly recommend

This was extremely fun! We picked this up on a whim while we were between events in Seattle and it absolutely delivered. Eowyn was an excellent guide; they were extremely knowledgeable and answered so, so many questions about the city, the underground, the history of how it all came to be, just across the board helpful. The tour was absolutely fascinating and I learned a ton. (You do spend a decent amount of time above ground on this tour, as you view how the city changed over time; the focus is on the underground even when you’re up top, however, so it all links together). A really unique way to learn about Seattle, highly recommend.
