This tour presents CitywalksNYC's signature Culinary Cartography walking food tour of Brooklyn's Bensonhurst neighborhood, hosted by cultural geographer and Bensonhurst resident Jim Baker. Travelers will get to know the history of Bensonhurst as one of New York City's most diverse multiethnic neighborhoods and should expect to taste food from a variety of ethnic cuisines local to the neighborhood, including Koryo-Saram, Georgian, Kosovar, Kyrgyz, and Italian. Past tours have included a sampling of dishes from these culinary traditions, including morchovka (Korean carrot salad), khachapuri, sheqerpare (Albanian butter biscuits soaked in sugar syrup), samsa, and cannoli.
