Only did this for a lark for the kids, and it was awful. Their site promises live narration of the sights and what you get is a poor, nonsensical, random recording that I could barely hear because the connection to the earphones at my seat was faulty. I had to hold the jack in with one hand or it would fall out. It crackled the entire time, and there we no other open seats to move to. I can hardly believe I paid $175 for the four of us to do this for an hour, which is about how long it takes to do the whole red line loop. They must not have an agreement with the Smithsonian because barely any of the museums are mentioned. My kids kept asking me as we drove by stuff, "What's this?? because the terrible recording didn't mention some pretty major attractions while, at the same time, mentioning some really random and minor things like odd statues we passed at stoplights. You're jammed in like sardines in a can and can't get a good view of many sights. My seven-year-old seems ambivalent about her experience, and my five-year-old fell asleep. If you've lost a seven-year-old with your open-air bus tour of a city she's dazzled by, then it's you, not her. My husband and I hated it. And as another reviewer said, they took a 25-minute break at stop 1. We had only just gotten on at stop 10, so we were like, what the heck when, three stops later, we were parked for nearly a half hour. We didn't budget a 25-minute stop in our itinerary for the day. I'm just kind of in disbelief about how much this cost for what it is. I would have paid maybe $20 each for it, max. I mean, they are trying to function at two things: a tour and a mode of transportation. And they fail pretty well at both, especially the tour. If you have to wait 30 mins for the next bus, you will watch 3-4 city buses on the same route pass by in that time and you can ride that for $2. As a tour, you can do much better yourself with a tour book and the city bus system, honestly. The city buses run more often, so you won't be sitting anywhere for 25 minutes. AND the poor drivers shill for tips at the stops, too. The recording at the last stop even says something like, "In the United States, it is customary to tip for good service. If you liked your tour, please tip our staff when you exit the bus." SO tacky. But, if it weren't so expensive, maybe I would have tipped them out of pity, but jeez. This thing is a total mess, bordering on a scam.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I understand no AC but you didn't even have any air at all circulating. This was the biggest waste of money during our whole trip and regret using your tour bus. Do better than what you do.

Waited over an hour and the bus never showed up. What a waste of $100! I only took the bus one stop. Unreliable service and puts a damper on your trip if you’re on a schedule.
