We had a great tour. You are given complimentary headset when you board to listen to the commentary, which was very informative. The driver was very polite and helpful.

We were in Washington DC 13-16 August and purchased 4 tickets for 2 days use of the Big Bus service. The first morning we waited 40mins for a bus changeover at our first stop of the day (outside the Willard Hotel), then after visiting the Lincoln Memorial, we waited 45mins for a bus only to be told by the driver that he wasn’t letting more passengers on and that the next bus would be at least another 20mins. We had no option but to use an Uber to see the rest of our chosen sights and get back to our hotel. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating after paying US$176 (not an insignificant amount) to be unable to use the service and to then have to pay to use alternative transport. Exactly what was the point of us choosing to use Big Bus?? The next morning we caught an Uber down to the Holocaust Museum to try and utilise the service we’d paid for from a different point, and as we walked to the bus stop at Washington Monument West we could see a huge line of people trying to get on an already full bus - the same problem as the previous day! We had to give up on trying to use the service we’d paid for. We are very disappointed and feel this is completely unacceptable. I have emailed the company twice now and they haven’t bothered to respond.

Gives you a great overall view of the sights in DC, and gives you the option to stop and see more of one sight. They also have a couple of routes of sightseeing; and these routes have common stops so you can hop to a different site. Great way to see as much as possible in a short time. Can buy a 1-day or 2-day pass.
