I bought the 2 day, plus a boat cruise the first week of August 2019. The closest stop to my hotel was not marked and did not have a sign to indicate that I was in the right area. Most of the buses were not air conditioned, nor did they have a guide. Because they were not air conditioned my choice was to climb up and sit in the sun, or stay below where the windows were covered with decals making it hard to see anything. Many people were trying to use the head sets without any luck. When I got off to do the boat cruise, I asked the driver where to go and he pointed to a building kitty corner to where the bus stopped. I went to that corner and it was a clothing store. After wandering in the area for half an hour I was able to find the correct place to get the cruise, but it was too late in the day to do the cruise and get the last bus of the day. After an exhausting day, I decided not go use my ticket for the second day.

I took this tour to know more about the city. You have the chance to get off the bus to walk and involve with the American culture and then take back the bus whenever you want. It passes by the most significant places in the city. If you go to D.C. you must take this tour

I actually lost my receipt ($60.00) and had to buy another one - my fault but I am certain this happens often. There should be some way of having a lost receipt redeemed. If you have read the hype the big buses will circulate every 10 minutes on the red line - they don't - it is hit and miss. For $120.00 for the both of us it was underwhelming - we tried to use it the first day then opted for walking, the metro and the DC Circulator bus (far superior - read the reviews). The buses are NOT air conditioned and some do not have any shelter from the sun. So when you sit on the top deck you are hot and exposed too long to the sun. On the lower level it gets very hot. The blue line cannot complete most of the route due to construction. There is no live commentary - Overall a waste of our money and time. The staff do their best are young and personable but that does not compensate for the shoddy performance of the buses.
