I wasted money by buying a two day ticket with Big Bus Washington DC. I normally use the company when I travel and have always been satisfied, but this branch needs some serious improvements. Buses are old and the recording sometimes doesn’t even work. I was there with a couple of guides only one of which gave the impression she knew what she was talking about. He company forgot to tell ticket holders that some stops were not serviced and I personally had to call the office to find that out. Shame guys, you can do a better job

We visited DC on two very hot days and opted to take the Big Bus instead of walking because we were travelling with a small child. The buses are not air conditioned. I overheard one guest asking about this who was told that none of the buses are and they cannot guarantee it. The windows were open and it was extremely hot. During June and July a few stops were also being avoided but unless you wear headphones the whole time or are able to be upstairs listening to a tour guide(not possible for us with a baby given the heat and sun), there are no announcements about stops. There was also no signage about where the bus would stop instead if the stop was changed. Not a very reliable mode of transport. I would try another option the next time I’m in DC.
