Negatives: Audio: The audio stations in the bus did not work. They give you headphones to plug in but the audio stations were so filled with static that we could not understand one word. Therefore the educational and informational part of the tour was negated. We purchased two-day passes including the night tour. We took five different buses over two days and audio never worked on any of them. Accessibility: They advertise as being handicapped accessible which the busses were not, and we had to physically lift our handicapped daughter into the bus, then fold and lift her wheelchair separately. Comfort: We went in July, very hot weather, very humid, and no air circulation inside the bus on the bottom deck, or up front under roof on top deck. So you have to choose between suffocatingly hot, or sitting on the top deck in the back where you cannot see.
Itinerary: Nowhere do they explain that there is a fifteen minute wait in L’enfant Plaza where you are required to get out of your bus and change into a different bus. This was a real hassle with a handicapped daughter, two grandkids and blazing hot weather. Overall, it’s a better choice to select the monuments and sights you want to see , read up on the history, and take an Uber to see them .
Positive: The personnel was helpful and friendly.
