Two wheels and a thirst for adventure are all you’ll need when you ride a Pedego Electric Bike around Amelia Island. Take this self-guided and customizable tour starting at Pedego Amelia and cruise your way through seven miles of natural bliss to Big Talbot Island State Park. The trail is full of stunning scenery, and you might see a few of the local wildlife along the ride. A smart helmet is included with the self-guided tour. The helmet allows you to talk to everyone in your group and you can link it to music on your phone if you would like to. Since you are not with a tour group, this tour is customizable and additional stops can be recommended at the bike shop. The tour route is EASY to follow, and full written directions will be reviewed at Pedego Amelia.

Note: All participants must be able to safely ride a bike and certify that they have done so in the past 5 years.

We require an in-store deposit using a chip card for all rentals.

During this tour, we ride down 7 mile’s of Amelia Islands designated bike path, over the George Crady Bridge, and into Big Talbot Island where we do a little trail riding down to the beach for a ride along the sand. The power of the bike makes the our trek through the sand easy-breezy. This tour provides a taste of Amelia Islands’ natural beauty and wildlife as we bike through moss-laden live oaks, along natural waterways, and on coastal paths. On the way back, riders have the option to stop at the Shops of Amelia Island for some refreshments prior to returning to the Pedego Store. *Optional stop subject to bike availability

Parc d'État de Big Talbot Island

Au cours de cette visite, nous parcourons 7 miles de la piste cyclable désignée des îles Amelia, sur le pont George Crady et dans l'île Big Talbot où nous faisons un petit sentier jusqu'à la plage pour une balade sur le sable. La puissance du vélo rend notre randonnée à travers le sable facile. Cette visite donne un avant-goût de la beauté naturelle et de la faune des îles Amelia alors que nous pédalons à travers des chênes verts chargés de mousse, le long de voies navigables naturelles et sur des sentiers côtiers. Sur le chemin du retour, les coureurs ont la possibilité de s'arrêter aux boutiques d'Amelia Island pour quelques rafraîchissements avant de retourner au magasin Pedego. *Arrêt facultatif sous réserve de disponibilité des vélos

This is our first experience with the E bikes, and we had a great time. The staff members did an excellent job in the instruction on how to handle the E bike and the two different routes that we could take. We chose the Greenway route, which took us through some beautiful wooden areas. The bike store is next to Harris Teeter grocery store so we stopped in before going on our trip and picked up lunch and was able to put the food in bags on the front of the E bikes. We traveled the Greenway and explored the Fort Clinch State Park. We stopped for lunch in a really nice park that had tables and restrooms. We were also outfitted with the smart helmets which gave us communication between me and my wife. The communication was voice activated and was like talking on the phone and we could even talk to each other at great distances. This Smart helmets were a must.

Wonderful time in January. Weather was great. Ride was beautiful and not difficult. Going across the bridge was the scariest part.
