The comfort and ease of riding in the bus throughout many areas of Birmingham is best way to learn about the city’s unique history. This private Local owned business by a Father and Son are committed to revealing the ugly truth of how powerful a few mean men could oppress and ruin such a beautiful city/people/government. This is a must see. Education is the key to our future. The mistakes of past leaders can not be repeated. The ugly details of decades of suppression by a few is revealed in a chronological story intended for the tourists to immerse themselves into the past as if we were back in time. This was the best tour we’ve ever been on and we have traveled the world. Kudos and accolades to those who care so much of the tragedy that inflicted the poor, those that were different. It wasn’t just the African Americans, it was the Catholics and the Jews. When we moved to the south - I couldn’t believe the blatant racism and those who spoke vehemently believed it was they who were discriminated. Haha. So many Baptists claimed Catholics were not Christians and going to hell because they were not born again. I now understand how these lies were perpetuated. Did you know the State of Alabama was only state to require a fee to vote that was accumulative. The schools were still segregated in the 1980’s. Now I understand why the black/Jewish/Hispanic communities in the south still encourages segregation.
