The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessel is the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessel is custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms. The Vessels are equipped with state of the art navigation and fish finding equipment.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

The staff were very attentive to everyone on board. We moved locations a few times to provide better opportunities to catch fish, which we did. The 300 lb. Shark was pretty cool to see, too.

Shoulder to shoulder fishing, lines continually tangling. Little help from crew who were catering to friends on the stern of the boat who were catching all the fish. They were extremely happy, and their smoking was unbearable. Probably the worst fishing experience my Friend and I ever had. I also thought the captain was obnoxious, and called me childish for complaining. Not recommended at all. Also they only used one side of a large boat. Just awful...

Getting lines tangled with other guests. Do not go during spring break. It is not worth it. The captain should not pack so many people on the boat. It made for a very miserable experience.
