Shannon Scott is amazing! He has spent decades uncovering the true stories behind some of the most infamous people buried at Bonaventure Cemetery. What a great way to experience some of the "forbidden" history of Savannah!

There is no better way to visit this historic cemetery. Our guide and interpreter, Paschal, was excellent. We learned the history of the cemetery and about some of its oldest residents, what certain headstone symbols mean, how certain sayings came about, and more. My daughters were exhausted before our tour even began and I am sure Paschal felt they were not interested; however, they loved the tour and we all learned a lot. I highly recommend this tour. We will visit again!

Great insights into the history and early people of Savannah. Rich was very knowledgeable with lots of interesting background stories that brought the cemetery back to life. The cemetery itself is a serene place to just walk around. It would have been good to have a car but Uber was an inexpensive way to get there and back from the city.

Robert, you're a gem to make such a post-tour effort for us to take pride in and to help others sort through the many options along with attempting to understand what the tour is about! We appreciate your assessment of the place itself too as it's so key to a true Savannah experience! Your guide Rich Lane is now a decade veteran and nearly 25-year resident and dare we say, is practically a figure of Bonaventure Cemetery now! We're blessed by him in many ways! A great tip for people too on how to do the 3.5 miles to Bonaventure through an Uber or Lyft. We don't recommend pre-scheduling them too-too much from a cost perspective. According to many drivers, as much as a third of their tourist business is the cemetery and tend to be regularly available even if harder on holiday weekends! Take good care once more and hope to see you again!
