I really liked the Gullah presentation and the gardens. The Mansion tour was too crowded though. Wish it was a smaller group as you couldn’t even get in some rooms.

The plantation visit was notable for its extensive history of the enslaved people and the aftermath of the Civil War. The Gullah-Gechee presentation was fascinating and the grounds lovely. The Owners talk and the Enslaved peoples talk were very interesting too. Sean, our driver, was very informative and gave us a good tour of the area too and from the plantation.

Great place to visit - the driveway up to the house is magnificent and the Gullah show very enjoyable! The negatives were - disappointed that the actual house was not the original plantation home and was built in 1930. The Gin house is being renovated and the tractor ride was not running due to the rain the day before. The cafe was a joke - 2 of the 3 hot drinks weren’t available and the server was the most unfriendly person going! All of the other staff were great fun and very knowledgeable! Well worth a visit when everything is working/open!
