The house tour was amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out the historicle pieces as well as the history of the plantation. He did it with humor and kept it entertaining. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and the tram ride and narrative allowed us to see the 780 acre working farm. It was a beautiful cool fall day so we were comfortable. I would not recommend this on a hot summer day.

Driver was great but I expected more from tour. Basically I could have paid admission myself and taken an uber to the plantation.

Worst experience. First could not locate the bus. So difficult to find. Then driver got mad because I was translating the tour to my dad who doesn’t speak English. Then once we go the plantation it started pouring with thunder and lighting. The tour should have been canceled. They didn’t want to offer refund. Please choose a different tour company with better refund policy or better yet just take an uber. Worst part of my vacation. Save yourself.

First of all, we called you multiple times to try to get you to the bus and waited 10 minutes past departure for you to arrive. We had all other guests on the bus who arrived without issue. Our tours depart from the brand newly renovated, Charleston Visitors Center, which is extremely easy to find and access parking. We depart in the same location as every other tour bus in Charleston and most of our guests have no trouble finding us and there are even specific instructions on your confirmation. The driver was not annoyed that you were translating, but the fact that you were on the phone trying to call Trip Advisor / Viator for a refund while you were clearly on the tour and disrupting our other guests. There was simply rain on the day of your tour. We do not cancel for rain. If the plantation itself was closed, we would cancel, but that was certainly not the case. From your inappropriate calls and comments, it sounds like you just didn't like the rain. We do allow guests to reschedule, but we have limited space and our tours are very popular, so by buying tickets you agree to all terms and conditions, which includes them being non refundable. For Uber, we find that many people can get to the plantation, but have extreme difficulty getting an Uber to come back and pick them up when they are ready to leave. We have often rescued guests that were stranded if we had room on our bus to bring them back downtown.
