We did this activity last on our freedom trail excursion. I wish we would have done it earlier. It was great fun and put various pieces of the story together.

Reliving the Boston Tea Party takes about an hour and is a lot of fun. It was very interesting and educational. All four of us (all adults) named it as one of the two best things we did while in Boston.

It was fun, and I am glad we went. My teenage daughter said it was her favorite thing that we did, so it's definitely good for kids. For me, it was just okay. They keep it moving pretty well with so many people. Tours start every 1/2 hour and are staggered in different rooms/different ships. You start off in a meeting room with folks in character, and Sam Adams gives a speech. Everyone is given a character card, and some have speaking roles. Then you go to the ship and get to tour it and there is ample time for everyone to throw the "tea boxes" overboard. You then go to an outdoor spot with shade where you can see the actual site of the original tea party. Then it's inside where you move from room to room. They have some great displays! You end up at the gift shop (imagine that!) and there is a little cafe.
