My 16-year-old son and I stumbled onto this attraction while walking towards the harbor in Boston. It was a bit pricy at about $29/ticket - but it was definitely fun. There is a preliminary "hearing" in a mock courtroom - whereby you are given the chance to voice your opinion on Taxation without Representation - the crux of the revolution - and then embark on a ship that is a replica of one of the ships used to transport goods along the trade triangle. Once on the ship you are given a chance to throw overboard a crate of tea. There is a team of young men who are dressed in costumes of the time who guide you through the process of walking through the boat, then entering the museum and having you view a very interesting video/film. This is a brisk tour that takes about one hour and one must walk up and down some steps so I am not exactly sure if this is something for someone with walking issues. At the end you are permitted to enter a tea room where they sell various pastries. Then you can shop in the gift shop - a large affair with various souvenirs. This offers a different way of learning about an important time in American history.

This is a bit overpriced and too much of a drama than history. None of the items there are originally related to the historic event. The actors were good and presented their story pretty well. Children will like it and to take a feather as memorabilia!

This is a participative experience where you are given a persona from the actual time of the Boston Tea Party. The more you and the group you are with participate, the more enjoyable the visit will be. You actually go on board a replica of the ships the patriots raided and can throw figurative tea bales overboard as part of the time onboard and part of the experience. Also included are key artifacts from this time and an explanation of the events between England/Colonies as events led up to the war and the shots fired at Lexington/Concord.
