My husband and I really enjoyed the treasure hunt. Kids didn’t always get the clues but they were a good extra set of eyes and hands to carry things. Knowing how to use a compass will really help with the clues. The spoon exercise at the beginning was a good thing to get us started and the mark on the tree was closer than we expected. After those two activities we kept our eye peeled for visual clues as well as worn pathways. One of our clues was missing but we found our guide and he directed us to the next place which we figured out. The puzzle to get the key free was more difficult than I thought and the buried treasure was easily located by my 8 year old without the metal detector. Fun time overall and took us an hour and 15 mins.

We had a group of three, including two adults and a 10 year old and this was such a fun experience! Every single one of the employees were very nice and helpful. The treasure hunt was challenging enough to make it fun, but not too hard for our 10 year old to feel he was involved. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who likes a good puzzle and a nice little hike.

We went with our teenage girls to complete the treasure hunt and gold panning. The treasure hunt had a mix between an outdoor escape room vibe and a mini hike with a wonderful view of the mountains at the end. The girls loved solving the clues and then finding the next one. There was definitely treasure at the end as well. :) Mike was our guide and he was funny and helpful. Later we also panned for gold, which was a separate cost, and did some axe throwing. The axe throwing was a bonus. Everyone kept their masks on and distanced from other family groups. Next time we will book ahead to do the mine tour!
