We were the ultimate tourists! Broadway plays (go to the box offices to get tickets!), subway pass/app is the way to go, Junior’s for dessert, so many things! Definitely wear comfortable shoes…LOTS of walking, a backpack or cross body bag and comfortable clothes. Enjoy as much as you can!

I booked the graffitti class for myself and spouse. He's always done graffiti, but I'm not too artsy, so I was really excited to learn how to do it and try it together. I was disappointed that I had to share a canvass since he has many years of experience and I had zero. It made it difficult to work on and it seemed the teacher/artist was more interested in my spouses ability than actually teaching me anything. Needless to say, my spouse had a great time & left with a canvass he was proud of. I wasted my money and time and left with a happy spouse. A canvass for each participant really needs to be offered unless the students want to work on something together. What could have been an awesome experience for us, just fell short.

I recently left this lesson disappointed, but I shouldn't have been. I brought my 8 and 11 year old to learn about this type of art. The first problem was how tired they were to start with. Obviously their behavior was a factor, but I expected that if I'm paying for 3 people I would get 3 canvas's. However, we only got one and trying to get 2 tired and small kids attention with one canvas wasn't happening. It left them trying to agree on one thing and they couldn't be more different. So they were fighting over colors and designs until I said I had enough and we left with no art in hand. Not to mention the pot smell in the room was horrific. Other then that it could have been an amazing experience. I just wish I would have know it was only one canvas per group b/c I would have gladly paid double.
