Spectacular experience! It was a cold day, especially for us Floridos, 60 degrees out on the river. The staff was lovely and helpful. Spend the 17 bucks on the full wet suit rental! Well worth it! And no matter how tan you already are, take their advice :sun screen evergreens that's open skin. My hubby has a sun burn on his hands. Courtney was an exceptional leader. We had massive fun and stayed safe through 3 and 4 rapids. We are in good shadow in our mid 50s and it was not overly challenging in any way. The scenery was beautiful! Last tip.. After 2 emails and 2 phone calls we still wound up with turkey sandwiches instead of vegetarian and our amazing guide gave us her veggie sandwich to share between the two of us. If you are a veggie, confirm before you leave that your lunch is correct. It is a long glorious day on the river and you work up an appetite.

I have participated in whitewater rafting excursions around the world -- but for the first time took my 11 year old son on a 1/2 day Brown's Canyon trip. I chose Wilderness Aware based on reputation and they did not disappoint. From start to finish the experience was smooth and enjoyable. Our guide Courtney ("Big Country") was vastly experienced, confident, funny and had us working as a team. She knew the river well and I learned quite a bit about various rock features and the local history. She gave my son a wonderful experience (talking with him throughout) and not only does he want to go back rafting, but wants to be a rafting guide. I can't recommend Courtney or Wilderness Aware enough. We are already planning on coming back.

Best whitewater rafting experience I've ever had. This group really knows what they're doing. Colton, Emily and Gato were the guides with our group and each of them were friendly, helpful, kind, knowledgeable and we would have felt 100% safe with any of them in our raft. My son and I had Colton as our raft guide and we had such a great time. He helped give me and my son a great memory and bonding experience we'll share for the rest of our lives. I simply could not be more happy with our experience. We will definitely be going back soon for another rafting trip and I wouldn't even consider using a different company.
