My wife, 2 good friends and I recently visited AVA Rafting in Buena Vista,CO. We were all first time rafting customers and had purchased the full day browns Canyon Sizzler package. Our excursion started loosely at 0930 and we finished up back at the outpost around 4pm. I can’t say enough amazing things about our experience. Our guide was Avery and she was outstanding in every way! She was very knowledgeable about the area including the section of class 3 rapids we were facing. She kept us safe and gave us step by step instructions for maneuvers and safety points. Never once did any of us feel unsafe or not sure what we needed to accomplish! She had an awesome personality and guided our boat with such fun nature! She put up with our rowdy group of 4 and fit right into the conversation between rapids! The other guide Kyle was also one of the nicest people we’ve ever met. Together the cooked us a Fajita lunch two thirds into the day. The ride to the “put in” location was 30 minutes from the outpost and then when we “put out” at the end of the day we had about a 35-40 minute ride back rafting a total of 12 miles! Such a great first experience here with AVA RAFTING AND ZIPLINING! If you’ve ever thought about rafting for the first time or 50th time you should check out Avery, Kyle, and the rest of the crew at AVA RAFTING BUENA VISTA,CO! They also offer experienced guides for class 4 & 5 rapids as well! You will not be disappointed!

I held a national sales meeting in Breckenridge and our team building event was the Browns Canyon Sizzler full day journey! We had a few nervous folks in our group but after hearing Avery and meeting our guide Alex Stall, the group was comfortable and ready to roll. Alex did a great job laying out the course of the day and gave us a plan before every rapid. He made the trip very enjoyable and we learned a lot from him. Amazing place and team! Avery was awesome on the ride back and I would recommend this adventure to anyone!

We spent a fantastic day on the Arkansas River on big water with 9 exciting rapids. Our guides, Jonah, Matty, and Colin, were exceptional, lunch was delicious, and the views were stunning! We’ve rafted Tennessee and Glacier National Park, and this trip was the best by far. The guides safely navigated the big water with the right mix of fun and control - We will definitely be back!
