We haven't been to Busch Gardens for nearly 20 years and as the roller coasters were high adrenaline we thought we'd travel down to show our teenagers a different park. 2 of my boys just love the fast roller coasters and they LOVED it. My other son doesn't but there was plenty of things to keep him occupied too. We enjoyed seeing the animals too. We missed the air conditioning in the wait lines but luckily the queues weren't too long. Very annoyed that the Skyride, Big Tower Drop, Pirate Ship and Cobras Curse were all off the day we visited. There should be some kind of compensation / information to allow you to change your day should this be the case - I understand there will be maintenance issues but it would be good to know before you travel all the way down there. Wifi is another thing they need to get sorted. Our boys are older now so we split up from the adrenaline junkies at times but found it hard to get in contact with them due to the terrible wifi connection in certain areas. Food - we went to the Zambia Smokehouse which was nice for lunch. Pulled Pork sandwiches were nice but the rolls were soggy. We went to Zagora Cafe for dinner where we had the cheeseburgers. It was AWFUL. Burgers were dry with hard rolls thrown together and we were eating them in fly infested tables. Not a nice experience and they were a fortune. Lastly the shows. Electric Circus, Ice skating Show, and the drums show at the end of the day were fantastic. Loved them! Not sure if we would rush back especially as it looks like when reading other reviews, that it wasn't just our opinion on the negatives points - Food and closed rides being the biggest gripes

Paid 340 dollars to come to howl o scream. Showed up at 6:30 Went in one mediocre haunted house after a 90 minute wait, and wasted 3 hours of our time with shut down rides. Waited multiple times for fire alarms to go off and kick us out of line. 340 dollars to walk around and be bored for the whole night. Don’t waste your money on this cash grab, when asking park employees about it. There’s no reimbursements, no tickets to come back another day. Just wasted time and money

The roller coasters are what make this park worth visiting, but you can't help comparing the experience to a day out at Disney or Universal. Some fantastic rides and low attendance (on a September weekday) meant a great time for us. On the downside, staff seemed generally disinterested - bored even - and it was difficult to find your way around with inadequate signage in places. Food was expensive, many outlets were closed and the main eatery had none of the atmosphere or style of the Orlando parks. Would I return? For Iron Gwazi, you bet!
