This tour explores the backcountry of Canyonlands National Park (Island in the Sky District) in approximately 4 hours. You will ride along in one of our 4x4 backcountry vehicles with heat and a/c for optimal comfort during all seasons.

Throughout this half day experience you will learn all about the parks, history, and geology of the Moab area. Your guide will point out Arch formations, and other towering landscapes along the way. Since our tours are private we can stop for photos at any point.

Sight seeing areas on this tour include but are not limited to Potash Mine, Shafer Trail, Musselman Arch, Ancient Indian Petroglyphs (Rock Carvings), Thelma and Louise point, and breathtaking canyon views. This tour will include both pavement sections and 4x4 road sections that are not paved.

Water and snacks are always provided for free.

We had a wonderful trip! Dave was our guide, and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and an expert driver. We saw beautiful sites, took a lot of pictures, and learned a lot about the area. It was a great adventure, and we have booked a trip with him to see the Arches tomorrow. Can’t wait!

Our guide Dave was awesome. He was charming, knowledgeable and skilled. We enjoyed the vistas and the crazy roads because of his skill. Book this tour for a worry free time with great vistas, scenery and just wow moments.

This was an amazing tour of places and sights you can't see without traversing some very primitive and challenging roads. Going with an experienced guide allowed us to focus on the incredible scenery and avoid what otherwise would be a gnarly white-knuckle drive. Our guide Dave was very personable and had lots of interesting information to share about various features and sights along the route plus some of the history of this unique landscape. Highly recommended!
