We had originally scheduled our snorkeling tour with Body Glove who ended up cancelling our tour without warning and we didn’t find out until we showed up for check-in. As this was the last few days of our trip we searched for an alternative and Hang Loose has availability for the next day so we booked it.
Let me say, I was really impressed with the entire experience. Captain Tim and his staff were entertaining, knowledgeable and so kind. My niece had a panic attack as soon as we got to Captain Cook (be warned, when you enter the water you can’t see the bottom at all). I was already at the reef with my 4 year old at this point but by the time I got back one of the female staff (don’t want to ruin the spelling of her name) and some other customers were right their with helping to calm her down. They got her water and spent an hour with her after she calmed down so the rest of us could snorkel. To me, this was above and beyond.
Besides that, they got us a chance to view spinner dolphins, they showed us some historical landmarks along the coast and while the food and snacks were pretty average, it was what was needed and the service made it even better. They’re also very focused on safety of not only the swimmer but of the reef. They have noodles and life jackets for folks to use and it was pretty fun to jump off the second level of the boat. While I do think some of the other tours may a little better for kids and non-snorkelers, this was an awesome experience that I would definitely do again.
