My teenagers really wanted to go ziplining, so we combined this with river rafting. The rafting was much better. The zipline course was fine. The groups (there were 2) were entirely too big - approximately 12 in each group, which meant that you were waiting more than anything. It was hot that day and the guide, Brandon, didn't think to cool off the van prior to loading 12 people into it with minimal (if any) air conditioning. Brandon apparently thinks that he's a comedian and therefore tried (way too hard) to be funny, which ultimately, just became very annoying. Neiko was our other guide and he was fantastic! He was personable and knowledgeable, actually sharing some interesting facts about the area. He also tried to put my husband at ease (who was very anxious and nervous), while Brandon talked about all of the clients they've lost and where the bodies were. Not so professional, especially if someone in the group is anxious. I believe that it would be super beneficial to let clients know "specifically -verbally" that there is upward hiking. One of the women in our group set out 1/2 the course because I think she had trouble with the uphill hikes. They should also let clients know as they check in that they really need to bring some water and ice chests are provided.

Well, we are glad some enjoyment was delivered! We have a short drive (1 mile) to the aerial course and it really isn't enough time for the air conditioning to kick in unfortunately. Sorry that it was a hot van ride, albeit a short one. When we cool the van off, it gets hot immediately when we open it up to load the guests, so we really don't have a good remedy for that one.
Being the first zipline in Colorado, we do have a ton of experience running a speedy tour in the hot afternoons, but when some guests want to know about the local flora and fauna, we will always take time to share some interesting stories with them, and they seem to appreciate it. Our guides concentrate on the positive and we believe one of the guests started the story about "bodies" hidden anywhere. NO one on our staff talks about that stuff...it just doesn't make sense, Brandon makes almost everyone smile and almost everyone likes his sense of humor...read the reviews! And we have never had an accident in 14 years!
Our hikes are much shorter than most tours, but we do have to gain some elevation so we can zip down thru the canyon. Having a 1/2 way rest stop helps our older guests, and it helps break up the tour so those who want to suspend their adventure can stop zipping but can walk with the group for the last three cables which are longer and faster.
We hope you will bring the teens back for a morning trip when it is cool and try the aerial park. Thank you for the review, it helps us get better.
