Michael is fantastic -- a wealth of information, and a warm and attentive guide to the park. I'd bet even a native New Yorker would learn plenty from a tour with him. Michael has so much historical knowledge, and real love for the park and all it offers both visitors and locals. We would happily wander the park with him again, and chat and listen to more!

Came to New York inDecember 2024 to do a traditional Christmas tour of New York City. After much research I discovered central Park Walking Tours with Michael. Michael was outstanding - from texting us with all the info we needed for the tour, meeting us right on time at an extremely easy to find location, his tour was amazing. He took us around the park, even extending the tour a bit when I asked to see a specific site and he went out of his way to drop us off at the Christmas market we want to go to. I have bad knees and the pace of the tour was great. Not once did I feel rushed or that I was falling behind. He found benches for us to sit on while he was telling us about specific things in the park and its surroundings, which was great for me! Michael is extremely knowledgable not only about the history of the park but also the floor, and is very generous with his time and his knowledge. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour. Michael also took pictures of us along the way and sent them to us so we had pictures of both of us in the park. It was fabulous highly recommend - 10 out of 10 would do it again.
