My wife and I came to Charleston for the July 4th weekend and felt lucky to get tickets to this pub crawl as they seemed to be selling out. Our pirate guide was Vanna and we met at Henry’s to kick it off which was right on Market Street centrally located. There were about 10-12 of us when we first started. The tour entailed drinks at 3 different bars all the while hearing ghost stories or at least supernatural stories at these places and along the way. I am a little conflicted to critique the tour too much as we really liked our host Vanna, but it was probably too long and some of the stories needed more substance. At our second stop of the tour we went to an Irish Pub and it kinda dragged on – so much so that half the group chose to stay there and leave the tour. We continued on and went to a very cool bar (best of the night) called the Blind Tiger for one more story and then some drinks. We ended up staying out with some folks remaining on the tour and had a great time late night, but all in all the tour was over 3 hours in sweltering heat with a really long gap between the 2nd and 3rd stop. I think our guide was new and had to start over frequently which added to the time, but she was very sweet and fun. We were glad we did the tour.
