James was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very funny. The food was traditional Chicago style food, but not fancy or overly flavorful. The brownie desert at the Palmer was excellebt. The tour gave a lot of information Chicago landmarks as well.

The tour was great! We had a slice of deep dish, a hot dog, a small (or half?) Italian beef sandwich and a brownie- so not too much food, and it was well spaced out. It was all delicious! The people who had beer had smaller glasses, so not too much there, either (I didn’t do the beer part because I was worried it would be too filling- but, after seeing it, I think it would have been okay). Our tour guide, James, did a great job. He was interesting, gave plenty of opportunity for questions/ comments, and was able to speak over a lot of noise when necessary. All tour stops were sit down, indoor locations, and there were opportunities to go to the bathroom at each location without missing any of the spoken tour. There was one outdoor, non-eating stop with some information about the area. Overall, very well planned and executed tour that was just delightful!

Our tour guide Julia was excellent!!! She is super-personable and has great communication, she did everything possible to make everyone feel engaged and comfortable! The tour itself was a great way to get ourselves situated in the city and provided some great tidbits of information on its history as well as its holy trinity of foods! We would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to move around at a nice leisurely pace while enjoying the Chicago food scene and some can’t miss sites!
