Our tour was only 10 people so it was easy to hear the tour guide, but as it turned out many of the stories were made up. I did some research and historically nothing happened at 432 Abercorn Street. I hate it for the person living there that groups of strangers stand outside of his house every evening and tell a false history of his beautiful home.

I have been a Viator customer for over ten years, and most tours have matched their descriptions. This tour did not. Other than the Christmas pin worn by the guide, there was nothing Christmas-y about this tour. Why was there a Christmas picture on the site if Christmas was not the theme? There was also no hot chocolate served to us. That was in the description. I can’t believe that Viator would allow a misleading tour like this. Don’t waste your time with this tour. There are better ghost tours out there. If you want something holiday ish, wait in line at Leopold’s and try a seasonal ice cream flavor.

We go to Savannah yearly to experience the history and spooky lore. This did not disappoint in that regard. This tour began with a brief history of the Charles Dickens story about the ghosts of Christmas and the meaning of Yule. Very good. The rest was a regular ghost and demons walking tour of Savannah. Garrett did very well with his storytelling and was very graphic with his detailing. We got there early for the free hot chocolate and Biscoff tea biscuits. Wonderful! Would not recommend for kids. I am knocking off a star because of how many people were in attendance. We went the day after Christmas and it was supposed to be a max of 15 people. There were about 50-60 people split between two guides for 25-30 people apiece. I have never seen this many people with one walking tour guide before and we have done plenty. Most were unmasked. Not the safest in terms of social distancing. Some people also brought their young kids along which was annoying. They were loud and whiny. (I tend to be super sensitive to noises compared to others.) Most of them went with the other group thankfully but the ones who accompanied us were climbing on historical items. It was in such poor taste and judgement on the parents’ parts.
