Rent our 100% Clear Canoes and paddle down the beautiful spring fed Silver River! While paddling you will come across local wildlife such as birds, fish, manatees, and rhesus monkeys to name a few! Our Clear Canoes offer a unique experience for viewing the wildlife beneath you!

Most springs in Florida have just one spring head. At Silver Springs there are 30 documented spring heads. With your Clear Canoeing rental you are able to paddle over the spring heads an enjoy the view.

You are renting the canoe and you are free to explore without being tied down to a guide. No guide mean are you not rushed to keep up the pace. You can take your time viewing the wildlife and getting plenty of photos.

Within Silver Springs State Parks dogs are permitted on a leash. Dogs MUST be on a leash at all times. Dogs are allowed on our canoe rentals.

Each clear canoe is tandem. If you would like to ride solo you need to pay for an additional person with their name as "Solo".

Weight limit of 250lbs per seat and 400lbs for the whole canoe.
All canoes are tandem. The canoes comfortably fit 2 people maximum. One small child is permitted with 2 adults if the weight limit is not exceeded.
Dogs are permitted. They must be leashed at all times.
Drinks and snacks are permitted. Please remove your trash when complete.

We enjoyed the scenery and the tranquility. It was beautiful. We saw deer, many birds and manatees. Frank and Rebecca were pleasant and made our experience special.

Here's a review from a non-water sports, "rather-go-shopping" Nan of 59 years!! Hiwever, we had a visitor who wouldn't book clear kayaks without me joining, so I gave in (secretly planning to pack a book, to sit by the river, as they kayaked)! We got a fabulous deal for 2hrs of clear kayaking and made the 2hr trip to Silver Springs. We were met right at the point as detailed by our rep, the clear kayaks were very clean and well equipped with comfy seats, life vest and map. Our rep was friendly, knowledgeable and super supportive. We had already received her reminder text, regarding our online waiver, our booking and our meeting point but we were also told to call her anytime we needed advice during our trip. Especially when we were on the last stretch, so our rep could meet us as we arrived at the end point. I honestly only decided to take part when I saw the well kept equipment, the crystal clear waters of the river, and the lure of seeing a large number of manatees! We were not disappointed, as from start to finish we saw so much wildlife - turtles, huge birds, fish and (from a distance) an alligator. We didn't see the monkies, though. The manatees were truly amazing, basking in the warmer springs and at one point we were surrounded by about eight, going slowly, directly under our clear kayaks, which was breathtaking! I saw some reviews about only two bathrooms at one point but they were at the kayaking launch, at the Cafe area and even some extra portaloos in the parking lot. We found the glass bottom boat captains very friendly, although weaving their large boats skillfully around all the kayaks was quite a trick! So, in summary, I would recommend the service from our rep and her company without any hesitation. In fact I would say the clear kayaks are truly the best way to be amongst the manatees and appreciate the beauty of Silver Springs above and below the water. Enjoy - can you believe, I'm actually happy to have this adventure again!!
