Clear Creek Canyon is unique in the quantity and quality of its rapids. It has more rapids than nearly any other commercially run stretch of whitewater in the nation. It is also free-flowing, meaning that the water levels change throughout the season, offering a variety of experiences. In addition to world-class rafting, it is also the home of the 1859 Gold Rush. Gold is still found in the creek by intrepid miners using pans and dredges. Guests will pass many sites of historical significance related to the Gold Rush while rafting on Clear Creek. Clear Creek is also conveniently located nearby Denver and other surrounding resorts, making it the perfect day-trip excursion.

Had an amazing rafting experience! Our guide, Chaz, was great! He made us feel safe but also made sure we got the most out of the trip. Would definitely go back!!

Our rafting trip was a blast. The rapids were mostly 3/4 the on the intermediate section of Clear Creek the day we went down. There were two times during the trip that a raft overturned and our guides got the chance to show their professionalism and mad rafting skills. Our raft guide Russell was exemplary and did a great job keeping everyone calm during some intense situations. If you are looking for an adventure that has some thrill factor, I highly recommend Downstream Adventures Whitewater Rafting.

My husband and I had a great time doing an intermediate rafting trip last weekend. Downstream is a great company that has all the equipment you need from splash jackets, wet suits, and more to keep you somewhat warm in the chilly waters. Our guide was great at directing us down the Clear Creek. I don't remember his name but he said he was from Tennessee. He was a great guide, laid back, and professional all wrapped up together!
