Minutes from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs State Park mermaids see the river from a whole new perspective with this clear kayaking ecotour! Kayak through a quiet estuary where, fresh and salt water mix, before paddling up the very active and beautiful spring-fed waters of the river. Be on the lookout for wildlife like manatees, turtles, fish, birds and dolphins! A great adventure for beginner paddlers but we do paddle upstream for the first half of the tour, which is a workout and worth the drift paddle back to the launch site. Your guide will stop for pics along the away! Expect an adventure that is part wild and part urban as this iconic river is a popular one to enjoy living and recreating on! We stay in our kayaks for the duration of the tour. Please remember the river and wildlife is subject to daily changes in behavior and conditions. All kayaks are tandem. Weight limit of 250lbs per seat and 425lbs per kayak. One adult to one child is required unless otherwise arranged.

Lisa was our tour guide and she was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and made us all feel welcome. I would do this trip over and over just for the manatees and to hang out with Lisa.

What an incredible journey we had with Taylor - I can’t praise this company enough! From the clear kayaks, the crystal clear waters of the Weeki Wachee, the beauty of old Florida, the BEST guide ever and the manatees, I can’t imagine how any part of this trip could have been any better! Taylor was sweet, funny, thoughtful and very informative! Bonus - she also took incredible photos and videos. We were blessed to see manatees both at the beginning and the end of our trip with one VERY curious baby manatee - magical! The whole journey is an experience that will last with me forever!

This was such a great experience! We took our 9 year old son with us and it was his first time. The wind would sometimes make it a little challenging in some areas but our guide Taylor was incredibly sweet and encouraging and let him know he was doing a good job when he would get frustrated. She was very knowledgeable about all the species of animals and plants in the area. Towards the end of the tour we got to see two manatees and it was just a truly magical experience. Taylor took pictures and videos for the group and even suggested some local restaurants for us to have lunch (we went to the Silver Dolphin and it had a beautiful garden). I’ve been on several kayaking tours but this was definitely my favorite and I highly recommend it!
