This was our family’s first time kayaking. Our guide Cassi was amazing and was very knowledgeable throughout the tour. We had a lot of manatee sightings.Would highly recommend this tour!!!

We had a great guide CONNER. We found him knowledgeable, helpful and easy to talk to. He made our trip up and down the river really interesting although we didn't like the route. I wish they had described it better on their site. We were hoping to be in pristine waters but it was all residential area....Such cute clear kayaks (we really loved them) would be the best in clear waters of Weeki Wachee. 5 stars to Conner though ) We did see few manatees which we all were happy about.

We will be sure to share with him how much you appreciated his knowledge and expertise. We appreciate you sharing your favorite part of the tour with future guests- manatees of course! We do launch from the estuary of the Weeki Wachee, and then paddle up river before returning and describe it as such on our site. During manatee season our guides do the best job they can based on the weather conditions present during your tour to take you the areas manatees are most likely to frequent. Often these are the areas that humans live and recreate on as well as we all enjoy the same areas. We do not launch from the headspring as we would not encounter wildlife as frequently as we do in the estuary- manatees do not frequent the headspring and prefer the warm shallow waters of the Weeki Wachee estuary. We appreciate your feedback regarding our tour route. Thank you for adventuring with us!

Vinny is an excellent guide. He encouraged us to paddle the initial stream so that we could enter the Weeki Wachee and reach the Hospital Hole. He was knowledgeable, courteous and fun. He knows the wildlife well, and discussed the manatees. We took the 11:30 tour on a hot Friday during spring break, so the river was extremely busy. Due to all of the traffic, we saw only a few birds. The water was murky, so the clear kayaks didn’t provide any fish or manatees. We could not see the spring at Hospital Hole. Vinny mentioned that they offer nighttime tours with lights on the kayaks. We would strongly consider that in the future. The tour operator should limit tours to people that have kayaking experience. We had 4 people in our group, all experience kayakers. There were 2 women that joined our tour, and had never kayaked before. That makes it difficult to keep the group together, and maximize the guide’s experience and expertise.
