Jessi was an amazing pilot during our flight with interesting commentary, and not to mention he had a great playlist that added to the ambiance! Seeing Maui from a different perspective made the island that much more beautiful, and it was surreal to see the views of East Maui, West Maui Mountains and the volcano from above. Air Maui was very accommodating to our situation, as we were late to our initial appointment because of directions, and they were able to get us into another flight the next day with no extra charge. They were even able to mail the flash drive copy of our flight to me to my home state when I decided after leaving the facility that I did want to purchase it. I would definitely recommend seeing Maui from a helicopter view, and Air Maui is an awesome company to do it through!

We headed up at 7.15 am for check in. Crew was kind and helpful. Our flight - announced for 7.45 - started at 8.00 and took 55 min. With Pilot Jessie we got really well informed about everything we flew over and had a funny, entertaining flight with really good music choice and some breath taking experiences. Sadly the weather wasn't on our side, so in stead of the whole island, we saw the Haleakala Craters and then had to turn round dew to heavy clouds and flew over Molokini to the West Maui Mountains. This was absolutely ok, regarding the amazing Valleys and the Honokohau Waterfalls up there. But sadly we didn't make the West Maui Circle till there, but returned before time to the Heli Port after passing one amazing Valley, while another Air Maui Heli obviously (video afterwards) did it till the other side to the breathtaking waterfalls we were stoked to see. I think we just lost a bit too much time cruising around, finding the best solution caused by the cloudy weather. But in such case i think you should either cancel the more expensive "circle island tour" or compensate with a fully comparable package, which it hasn't fully been in my eyes. So in summary it could have been the most amazing trip although we weren't lucky with the weather, if the payed 60-65 min. would have been fully exploited and not shortened by just risking a short view into the West Mauis and skipping the best parts up there. If there could (financially) be a next time for that expensive fun I would definitely choose the Molokini - West Maui trip, so the chance to see what you pay is probably way higher.

Thank you very much for the feedback and understanding regarding the weather. I have reviewed the video of your flight with Jessie and I do see that he was not able to get out to the East side of Maui due to the low clouds so instead after viewing the Haleakala crater he took you over Molokini and then to the West Maui mountains which was part of the original tour route. The dispatch log shows that he flew you folks for 58 minutes and our Complete Island tour is a 60 minute flight and all routes are weather permitting. It seems that you understand that due to the last minute weather change the route did change but I feel Jessie did the best he could given the circumstance. At the time of take off he felt conditions were good enough and safe enough to take off and not cancel the Complete Island route. All that said I again do thank you for choosing to fly with us and we do appreciate the review and feedback. Aloha~

We did the Complete Island tour and it was amazing! We flew over Haleakala, the Road to Hana and some of the West Maui mountains. The ride was smooth and our pilot was knowledgeable and explained everything. We sat in the backseat but still had a good view. Flying through the valleys was so fun! We thought this was a great way to see the island without the long drives.
