Experience the world’s largest urban bat colony emerge from under the Congress Avenue Bridge!  This colony made up of 1.5 million Mexican free tailed bats is an amazing sight to see and hear. From the meeting point, join your professional guide where you will paddle and observe one of nature’s wonders and learn about how these nocturnal creatures help create a better ecosystem for everyone. The tour lasts 2 hours and food and drinks are not included.

The experience of paddling up river to watch the bats as they leave their under bridge housing for the night was amazing. We went out on the first Bat tour of the year and we were not disappointed. Worth the experience of watching 1.5-2 million bats heading east for their nightly feast.

They called me that they decided to go half an hour early. When I arrived the group was already gone. One instructor waited for me, but did not give me any instructions and information about the tour. When I caught up to the main guide he was very reluctant to provide me information about the tour.

Hi there I wish you would communicate the full truth in your review. You were contacted hours in advance that the tour time was at 6:30 had you arrived in advance of the trip or responded to your guides message you would of had this information. You received a full refund for your mistakes and even got to go on a partial experience. I strongly recommend you check your text messages as our guides will update you about the bat's expected take off time the day of the trip. The bats are wild animals that we're beholden to their schedule, not the schedule of a late individual.
