The tour guide was a lot of fun and assured everyone of the simplicity of the tour. He offered bits and pieces of historical information. The bats were pouring out of the bridge.

13 June 2018 - Went on a kayak adventure with Steven. He was AWESOME! Only the 2nd time my mom was ever in a Kayak and they set her mind at complete ease! She is deathly scared of drowning and she ended up taking a single kayak out and LOVING it! I took my 9 year old son with me. He had a BLAST! Very informative not just of Lady Bird Lake and the bats, but helpful telling us other things to enjoy in Austin and the surrounding area. We were only supposed to be out for 2 hours but we spend 3 hours. When we finished, they gave us gift cards for Joe's Crab Shack. We had dinner there, of course and saw them arrive and we bought them a round of drinks! Great experience all around. We expected it to be fun and engaging, but what we received was SSSSOOOOO much more!!! They really looked out for us, made sure we had the best view, and took their time. We were never rushed to do anything! Just AMAZING!!!

Our guide was very nice and helpful with the Kayaks. However the negative to the trip: the trip should provide a cold water for the kayakers. At $55 it would cost the company less than $.25 cents for the water. However the biggest negative was that the guide knew nothing about Bats, the history of the Congress bridge bat conservation etc. We knew more from researching bats ourselves. Also the other tours all had a light source for their kayakers which was missing from our tour and it’s dark when you finish. Would not recommend this tour- other tours looked better informed.
