Visited CMoG with our mission group this summer. CMoG is amazing...no different than the last time I was here...although it appeared they they doing more demonstrations where they give out works they create...make you you attend one of these. The special exhibits change, so they is always plenty to see. We had great service by Helen in the Hot Shop, Maria and Jake in Special Projects - they fit us in for a personal project before our group needed to leave and Devin in the outdoor hotshop as he shared his experience and passion for glass making. You should be proud of the way you continue to inspire with the excitement of glass.

Silly me, I thought I was going to a museum that had just Corningwear glasses and products… And what a phenomenal surprise! We arrived at the Corning Museum, and it was much larger than expected! We were looking around at the new displays, decided we were hungry. Went down to the food court and what a wonderful surprise to see the variety of food and for reasonable prices. After four hours watching demonstrations, asking docents to explain pieces, and just taking our time it was a wonderful afternoon and we probably could’ve spent more time because of other demonstrations we didn’t see. As far as the gift shop, I love seeing pricey one of a kind pieces that were just out of this world, but what was fun, was to buy a few pieces of Corningware, paperweights, and ornaments. This is a definitely MUST stop (if you don’t like glass art)!! Do plan a minimum of three hours!!

Thank you for your the review! You're not the only one who enters the Museum expecting cookware and then is amazing by the stories of glass innovation in Corning as well as around the world that we showcase throughout our collections. The Shops at the Museum are similar, offering a wide range of souvenirs in many price ranges. We also offer live demonstrations in glassblowing, flameworking, glass breaking, and optical fiber to enhance your experience here. Finally, you can Make Your Own Glass for an extra fee to be able to interact directly with the material and remember the experience with your own unique, handmade souvenir. Thanks for visiting, we hope to see you again soon!
