WOW! What an incredible museum! There is so much to see and do here that the very reasonable two consecutive day admission is not enough to take it all in. We got there as they opened and we left as they closed the doors and didn't get to see but a fraction of everything they had on site. The Hot Glass Demo is a must see. I wish we had planned for more time here. Something for everybody. Lunch on site is a good deal too.

Thank you for visiting! It is great to hear that you had such a wonderful time exploring the unexpectedly thrilling world of glass that you could spend a whole week exploring. It sounds like you really enjoyed some of the 50+ live demonstrations we offer daily and that you found our museum engaging. If you're curious to dig deeper, feel free to visit our Rakow Library, the largest library in the world dedicated to the history of glassmaking. We hope to see you again!

We brought our family back to Corning after a quick stop there a couple years ago. The museum was a must for us. We enjoyed all of the galleries and demonstrations. What surprised us is how kid friendly it was. There are “carts” all over the museum explaining things. Be sure to ask for their stamp books. It allowed my three year old to get excited about finding the next stamp. I enjoyed as much as he did. We also did glassblowing (definitely book in advance) which the little guy helped with. He thought it was so cool and got to come home with an ornament he picked out and made.

Wow, it's so lovely to hear about the memories you made here with your son! In addition to the Ask Me carts, we have a scavenger hunt through the 35 Centuries of Glass Galleries that kids often love. Also, until December, we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with a mini-exhibit in the Innovation Center as well as a glass astronaut created by our Hot Glass Team hiding around our galleries. All that plus Kids and Teens 17 and Under always receiving free admission makes the Museum a great stop for families. We hope to see and your family again soon!

I originally toured the factory as a child before the museum was built and this was great! I was able to take my children and have them see some of what I did. The presentations were great and the whole museum provided for a wide variety of tastes, from artistic to historic then scientific. Everyone in the family found something they were interested in and the live glassblowing demonstration really showed the talent necessary to create such artistic pieces. I hope to go back for one of the hands on programs.

Thanks for leaving a review! It sounds like we were a great place to spend time and make memories with your whole family. We strive to make the Museum a place of learning and wonder for everyone of all ages and it's great to hear that you think we accomplished that. Don't forget that our admission covers two consecutive days and Kids and Teens 17 and under always receive free admission. We offer seasonal Make Your Own Glass projects in the fall, including pumpkins, so please visit again soon!
