The Denver Micro-brew Tour is a lot of fun even if you, like my wife, don't like beer. Our ebullient host, Derek, set the pace right from the start, first unifying our group with an attitude of enjoying each others company, and then with lively commentary and insights, not only on beer and ale but on Denver itself, and specifically on the charming microbreweries we visited and how they historically evolved at their locations. Fortunate to enjoy good weather (usually the case in Denver) we opted to walk the few blocks that otherwise may be covered by bus. This was more opportunity for Derek to regale us with humorous anecdotes on how certain streets got their names.
For beer fans the tour was generous with a broad selection of beers and ales that by direct comparisons can give you a clear and strong idea of what your preferences are. Take the tour. You will learn a lot and have a good time, but beware of the brew that tastes like celery and cucumbers.
