Took the tour last year, with Steve as the guide. It's laid back, it's a little informal, and it's a great introduction to the city of Denver.
Our group was a little over a dozen people, which gave a lot of opportunity to get to know each other, compare notes, and talk about beer. Steve did a great job of creating a sense of place and making the buildings and the companies matter. But it was the group as a whole that really put it over the top.
We would walk to the next place, sit around a couple of tables, and taste some beer. We'd talk about our favorite styles of beer, our favorite beers from our home region, and what we thought of the beer in front of us.
Then we would go to the next place and do it again, but with a different combination of people than last time.
Four stops is the perfect amount of walking (and tasting...there was a good amount of alcohol involved). I ended up having lunch with some of the tour members at the last stop, which was a good place to cash in our free pint.
In all, it was the best introduction to the city of Denver. Over the next week, I met more people and drank more beer and walked all over downtown a hundred times. All of it was a little more familiar after Steve's tour.
