My husband and I had less than one day in Denver, and we were happy with our choice to spend much of it on this tour. The LoDo walking tour covered quite a bit of ground, giving us a chance to see the city and learn a few tidbits about its history (even some non-beer-related facts).
We got to try about ten very different beers at four distinctive locations, and the samples were larger than I expected. We got a coupon for a free pint at the end of the tour, but I couldn't even finish mine because of the generous samples throughout the tour.
Our guide Bryce was casual and fun, but also genuinely passionate and knowledgeable about beer. He was ready with an answer to any question and made an effort to engage everyone in the group, whether they were beer experts or just along for the ride. There were about 20 people in our group of various ages from all over the country, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
There was a fair amount of walking, and we stood at all of the stops but one, so you will spend a lot of time on your feet. Our tour took a little longer than the scheduled time, but it seemed to be because people were taking their time and having fun. It was a little bit hard to hear at one or two of the stops, as our group seemed a little on the large side for some of the spaces, but we were very happy with our experience overall. I would recommend it as a great way to try some great beer, see a few local establishments, meet some friendly people, and get to know a bit about Denver.
