Incredible experience and this was our 4th time going and using River Ventures. They are a great company and their entire team are wonderful!... Definitely recommend using River Ventures. On this specific trip weather was not cooperating and was very warm which made a Dramatic difference - we only saw a couple of manatees and spent a lot of time trying to find them - our tour guides were also trying not to go where the crowd was so we would have a better experience but unfortunately it wasted a lot of time and we ended back up where the other boats were as there were manatees there. Nothing negative about the trip or their efforts. The other (3) times we did was at Thanksgiving and weather was always cold and we saw so so many manatees it was unbelievable!.... Hard to plan a trip to FL though wanting the cold.

We're so glad you had a wonderful time! It is important to note how the conditions change with the weather, that we can't control, but thats what makes this experience so unique is that these are wild animals in their own natural habitat. The warmer it is, the less manatees we have in the area. When it's warm, some companies will go the lazy route and find another boat with a manatee and dump in on that manatee. Our crew always goes above and beyond and tries to find you a manatee on their own to try to have a one-on-one experience with whenever possible! See you next time!

Manatee are incredible and beautiful animals. its a great experience to swim with them and observe them in the wild. In our tour, we probably experience 8-10 individuals. Sometimes they are curious and want to interact other times just observe. We sailed with Troy and Hailey. Hailey is an incredible wealth of information as a conservationist and without hesitation explained the species, feeding and breeding habits and what Crystal River preservation is doing to preserve the Manatee. Definite must and ask for this team!

We had an amazing time getting to swim with a manatee. Captain Wade and our guide Trish were awesome, and it was clear that they truly care about manatees. I had never snorkeled before, and they gave plenty of tips on how to feel the most comfortable in the water. I looked at a couple different manatee tour companies, and I am so glad that I ended up booking with River Ventures. I would absolutely do this again.
