My family took a semi private Manatee Tour with Captain Wade and his wife, Trish. They were awesome! We were given a boat ride around the area, and then we located several Manatees. At one point in time, I counted six Manatees swimming along with us. This was our second trip; the first trip for my seven year old. We would highly recommend River Ventures, and plan on returning again in the future.

We had an amazing afternoon in Crystal River. Despite the wind, Matt and Lindsay got us to 4 separate manatees and 2 came together to play. It’s hard to explain the awe and magical feeling while observing the manatees…truly mesmerizing. The river is so clean and lovely to swim in. Matt and Lindsay are manatee whisperers working as a great team to locate and lead us to manatees. Lindsay’s approach in the water made the manatees and our group comfortable with each other. While doing all that, she took great under/above water pictures. Their knowledge of the manatees along with other local wildlife, geography, and restaurant recommendation was greatly appreciated. They also entertained us with great stories of adventure.

Great captain (Liz) and amazing guide (Shanna (banana))! We saw two sets of mom and baby yesterday! Loved the trip and loved the manatees!!
