We are from NC down in FL for school. We heard about these awesome sea cows and had to check it out for ourselves. We were hooked up with tour guide Ryan and Captain J.J. First off, these guys are awesome. We are from a beach area and we care so much for our wildlife and our oceans and beaches. You could tell these guys cared so much for theirs as well. They were super knowledgeable about everything on the waterway, from real estate to food to fisheries. They were in constant communication with their other company captains about where the manatees were located so we would have the best viewing experience. After some great cruising around Kings Bay, we settled in a small cove where we found a single manatee. At first, I was hoping for a large group, but after seeing just one, one was so much better as you could focus on its every move and sound. The water temperature was perfect and Ryan put us right on the money. I floated in the water in awe and watched this massive sea cow chow down on ocean grass and then right in front of my face, come up for a breath of air multiple times. It was an absolute memorial experience. Ryan was always getting us in the best viewing angles and snapping pictures. Believe me, if you just follow your tour guides direction….you’ll have a fantastic time. We got back on the pontoon and Captain J.J. took us to I think was called “Jurassic” which is a hot spring. Don’t get your hopes up….it is anything but hot! In fact, it’s super cold! But pumping out millions of gallons of water, it causes distortion which is super cool to see. We got some awesome pictures as well. My wife and I will definitely be back to do this again and we will be requesting Ryan and J.J!!!
