I can't say enough about this company and A.J. our guide. I found this tour company on TripAdvisor and contacted them in February. They were most helpful in planning our day trip around the island. We had been to Oahu the year before and had taken a couple of organized bus tours. After asking what we had seen previously they came up with a great day for us. We were met by A.J. promptly at the arranged pick-up time at our hotel, and off we went . One of the places on my list was Schofield Barracks to see a memorial which included the name of my late fiance (part of the 25th Infantry who was KIA in Vietnam - we met in Hawaii) and A.J. allowed me time to visit the memorial without me feeling rushed. We then drove to Haleiwa and sat outside the Aloha General Store eating shave ice (our first time to enjoy this treat). Lunch came later at a shrimp truck (as we wanted to eat where local do - not a tourist place). A.J. then drove us up Pupakea Road (a winding dirt road with a deep gulley on one side - glad she was driving!). We saw spectaclar scenery from the ruins of an ancient temple at the end of the road. Then it was off to the Byodo-In Temple at the Valley of the Temples. Never did we feel rushed and on a time schedule. A.J. was fantastic. Her knowledge of the island was great and she told me so many things that I didn't know about the places we were visiting. I can't say enough about her - she was the best guide we have ever had and we've done private tours before on other vacations. I had taken my 89-year old father with me to Oahu and he has memory problems. She was so kind to him - helping him in and out of the van, answering his questions, and making him feel special. When the tour was over, it was hugs all around. She became a friend, not just our tour guide. I would heartily recommend this tour company to anyone who wants to see and do things that other tour companies don't go to. Be an active partner in the planning process and have one of the best days of your vacation. We sure did!!!

Thank you Alexis for showing us the highlights of your beautiful Island. We had a fabulous day, incredibly relaxing and the flexibiilty of being on private tour was the reason we booked with you guys! You made the day very worthwhile and loads of fun. I would highly recommend your touring option over and above any standard day tour. A definate highlight of our girls week in Honolulu!

While I was conducting work, my 20-year-old daughter enjoyed one special activity after another throughout a full week in Oahu. But the highlight was this highly personalized, even intimate tour of the North Shore and the rest of the island. Alexis, our guide, tailored the trip to our interests and took us both to well-known locales (such as Pipeline of 'Blue Crush' movie fame) and even full-blown tourist stops (such as the Dole Plantation with everything pineapple, including Pineapple Whip ice cream), as well as to places we never would have found on our own (the sea turtles at Laniakea, snorkeling at shark-less Sharks Cove, and the Waiola Bakery).
