Shepherd's Adventure Park
See where tourism REALLY began in Branson. The catalyst of tourism to Branson, was due to the worldwide success of the book, "Shepherd of the Hills" by Harold Bell Wright. This stop is literally the property that the book was written and written about! (It's also a restroom stop! Hehe!)
22
Hollister
You will love this quaint little Old English Village, with its Tudor style architecture, fun shops, galleries and restaurants. Find out how the railroad "turned this town around!" The Downing Street District is a place you will want to return to for some unique shopping and dining options!
23
Branson
Downtown Branson, on the shores of Lake Taneycomo, is where Reuben Branson and his wife, Mary, built the Branson General Store, around 1881, and the town had been growing and changing ever since. You will see several shops and restaurants in the historic downtown district. Like Hollister, this is a place you will want to come back to after the tour is over. No franchise restaurants or retail shops in this district. However, Branson Landing Mall, is just down the hill and across the railroad tracks. So you can shop old and new!

It was a good overview of the history and scenery of Branson. The guide knew a lot, was an effective communicator, and was very open to questions. The only thing that spoiled it a bit for me was the guide was a bit too free with some of his political opinions, which were delivered in a somewhat coy and snide manner

Thank you for touring with us and for taking the time to write your review. I will address this political comments issue with the tour guide that you had that day. It sounds like that other than the political humor your review would have otherwise been at five star review.

The dam and the College of the Ozarks were the best parts of the trip. As our driver said - we drove around in circles. We did learn some interesting facts of Branson history.

Thank you for touring with us and for taking the time to leave your review. Actually, our tour route makes one very large circle of approximately 30 miles and covers a lot of things and different aspects of history and Branson entertainment. College of the ozarks is almost always considered the highlight of the tour by most of our guests. Thank you again!
