The staff are respectful, they gave us food and they showed us what to do. I got to see dolphins swimming right under us. This trip is a great thing to pay for, because you will enjoy the open water, enjoy the staff, and enjoyr your time there.

Dolphins and you is the name of the company for the swimming with dolphins and snorkel experience. They first part was swimming with Dolphins and this part is very rushed and hectic. First off they did a poor job communicating that the dolphins swimming is going to be strenuous. Several folks were panicking because they lost sight of their kids in water in all the frenzy and I saw at least three folks vomiting in water because of the choppy waves and the panic. Lucky for us I was the only one who got in water but it would have not been fun if my family had also come into the water. Secondly they took us to another location for snorkeling with turtles and fishes and this was not chaotic but the marine life wasn’t as rich as my previous dives. I don’t blame the company for that but it didn’t help. Lastly the food was very cheap and mediocre and they took very few pictures especially when we had paid money for the photo package. Outside of that the boat was good and they crew was helpful and safety minded. Three stars because some of the above was in their control and some wasn’t. For example they should be have done a better job communicating but I don’t blame them for not seeing the dolphins and turtles. Last we did see Dolphins from the boat which was nice

Aloha Kandarp, Thank you for your review. We are truly sorry for any stress you felt during our tour. We are taking several steps to address your complaints. Our guides are now prepping guests in safety briefings on exactly what will occur during the swim with dolphins. We also are working with our guides on the tone of voice and working on the mic to keep the experience as calm and peaceful as possible. Lastly, we are also now splitting the guests into two lines before jumping in: those comfortable swimming and those not, so that our guides know who will need more attention in the water. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention, and we hope that our response helps to improve your satisfaction with Dolphins and You. Mahalo and safe travels, Dolphins and You

I went with my significant other on this swim with dolphins excursion on May 9. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary of our first date. We’re both in our 50’s. The young teenage to early 20’s staff did not care that I had never snorkeled before and did not know how to swim. I had specifically informed them on the phone and emailed multiple times that I am afraid of drowning because I don’t know how to swim, I wear contact lenses and asked whether it will be safe for me and my partner who also doesn’t know how to swim but he had snorkeled before in shallow water. They kept reassuring me I will be fine. They had excellent lifeguards and advanced high quality snorkel equipment that would allow me to breathe. The day came and they took us out on boat. No one gave me instructions on how to put on snorkel equipment. Instead the young japanese male helped two Japanese girls next to me. In the middle of the giant Pacific Ocean, a young female staff yelled at me to jump off the boat. I was one of the lady to jump because again I was deathly afraid of drowning. She just kept hollering at me with contempt while I was shaking like a leaf, scared to death. She gave me angry cruel sadistic look and looked like she wanted to hit or shove me off the boat. I felt I had no choice but to jump. As soon as I hit the water, water leaked into my mouth and eyes and I wore contact lenses and were afraid water would contaminate my lenses via the snorkel and goggles and I began to sink with my mouth open screaming “HELP! I don’t know how to swim!” I saw the young female staff stare at me in anger and she did nothing to help me but just stared as I fell backwards ocean water immersing me fully. Luckily there was a male staff whose arms suddenly wrapped around my neck and torso and pulled me to safety. Had it not been for him, I literally would have drowned and died that day. I was lucky the male staff had been nearby. My partner also was rescued back to the boat because he also began sinking with water seeping into his snorkels even though they assured us the snorkels were high quality and leak proof. My advice: Don’t do this tour if you don’t know how to swim, no matter what this tour company says. They apparently didn't care when we said we were afraid of the water and didn’t know how to swim.

Aloha: Thank you for reaching out regarding your experience. We are sorry for any discomfort you experienced while on our tour. Customer satisfaction is of the utmost important to us, and safety is our top priority. We are deeply concerned by your review and need to know more about what happened in order to address your concerns. We don't know your name or which tour you were on that day, so please reach out to [email protected] to provide us with that information so that we can adequately respond. It is unusual for us to read anything negative about our crew's personality. Regarding our commitment to safety, we will continue to advise our potential guests that all skill levels of swimmers are welcome on our tours. And we stand behind that, for these reasons: 1. All guests are outfitted with Coast Guard approved life jackets before entering the water. 2. All guests watch a safety video on the bus out to the tour and are required to listen to an in-depth safety demonstration while on the boat, which covers how to best wear a snorkel mask, before getting in the water. 3. Lastly, all of our crew are life guard certified free divers. We also offer different pricing for watching only, so that even those who don't feel comfortable with water can experience an interaction with dolphins. We appreciate you following up with us so that we can learn more about your experience. Mahalo.
