Do not pay the extra $50 per person for guaranteed front row seats unless you are going alone. One of you will end up sitting in the middle squeezed in next to the pilot and have no views. We also chose this company because they told us that they fly close to the waterfalls which didn’t happen a single time. Other than that, it was pretty fun but not worth $700.

Mahalo for the review. For every two passengers on all flights (doors on or off) we guarantee that one will have a middle seat and one will have a window/edge seat. Most feel that the two front seats are considered the premier seating and even though there is someone in the middle you can still hopefully see through the front windshield (like in the front seat of a car). We follow all FAA regulations for sightseeing tours here in the state and will only get as close to the terrain as regulations and weather allow. I do apologize you felt it wasn't worth it but do thank you for the feedback.

The doors-off flight over Kauai is the best heli flight I have ever experienced (and I did some). The pilot was excellent: Calm, experienced, most kind. The nature of Kauai is unique of course, but seeing from this perspective is more than amazing. And the doors-off option gave the best direct experience I could imagine. Just great! Sadly, ground staff was not up to that standard: After the flight they aggressively stepped in when passengers wanted to take pictures with the heli, claiming „no time“ (ridiculous as it just takes a few seconds), even photobombed when trying to take pictures: Reason: They desperately wanted to sell their photos (OK if that is offered as an option, but not OK when prohibiting guests to take their own – we experienced that it can be done much better with another heli company on another island).

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and feedback. I do apologize for the ground staff. We do offer a video and/or photo for purchase after your flight you should be able to take a quick selfie as long as you were in a safe place to stand. We usually only have one maybe two dispatchers outside keeping 6-12 passengers safe around a running aircraft, fuel trucks, golf carts, etc so safety of all passengers is our main concern. I will be sure to discuss with our office manager.

Our pilot was very nice and the views were spectacular! Only thing I wish is that he would have flown over the ocen so we can catch the full view of NaPali coast. He flew overtop NaPali still beautiful views but not the same perspective as flying over the ocean and looking at the face of it
