I have taken a number of food tours, but I found this one to be the best. First, I pride myself on being familiar with a lot of restaurants in downtown West Palm Beach, but all but two of the restaurants on the tour were new to me and I would go back to every one of those to which we were exposed. Second, the food choices were excellent. They weren't just the cheapest thing on the menu. And, food preferences/allergies/etc. were taken into consideration. Third, Kristl was a terrific guide. She kept things moving, though I never felt rushed. She gave us plenty of history and interesting insights. She also provided copies of each restaurant menu so we would have an idea of choices and prices if we go back. Finally, while it was very hot, she made sure to keep us out of the sun as much as possible, and to limit our walking in the heat. Definitely a two-thumbs up experience. I'm planning on doing the company's other food tour option!

Your review just made my day! It's always nice to get two-thumbs up, but even better to receive such accolades from an experienced food tour traveler and a local. I'm thrilled we introduced you to some new favorites, kept you from sweating too much and taught you a few fun facts about the area. I look forward to seeing you again on our Dixie Dining Corridor Food Tour!

We did both tours - the West Palm Beach one and the Dixie one. We are exceptionally well travelled and have eaten in many countries across the globe - local food is always a wonderful discovery for us and so we were very excited about this tour. The first West Palm Beach food tour was amazing! The guide, Loren, was fantastic and each restaurant was great. The group of people on the tour were great too. The food tour really offered insight into the multicultural influences on the regeneration of the downtown area. The homemade ricotta from Hullabaloo, the chargrilled broccoli at Pistache, the non-alcoholic mojito from The Blind Monk and the best key lime pie ever from Ganache were highlights. It was so good that we returned to two of the restaurants on the tour (we would’ve returned to Ganache too but they were closed for a vacation) and we even booked the second food tour the company offers that same night after completing the West Palm Beach food tour. I’ve been on many tours - some guided by registered professionals with masters degrees in the subject matter of the tour and Loren is honestly amongst the top guides we’ve had. We booked the second tour because the first was so good and the second offered local flavor off the beaten track. This appealed to us. Honestly, this tour was okay overall. It definitely was not an overall highlight with each stop being amazing. The two restaurants lauded over were the ones we were least impressed about - being Cholo Soy (burnt butternut in my veg tacos) and Grato (the polenta was basically Mac and cheese made with polenta instead of pasta - an American staple but definitively not Italian). The restaurants on the other tour far surpass these. The B and B stop was awkward as there were guests swimming in the pool and everyone excused themselves and then hurried away. We did however, enjoy Grandview market, the quick shopping stop, Havana was the culinary highlight and the staff of Rhythm Cafe were very sweet. To summarize, the first tour was unbelievably fantastic and the second one was a let down. I didn’t feel as though I’d got my money’s worth from it. I would recommend the first and not the second.

We always appreciate guests who leave reviews with lots of details! I’m thrilled you loved our Downtown Tour, and I wish you felt the same way about our Dixie Dining Corridor Food Tour. The Dixie area is certainly the new culinary hot-spot in West Palm Beach boasting many award-winning chefs. Clay Conley of Grato is a 4x James Beard nominee, and Clay Carnes of Cholo Soy is Food Network’s 2015 & 2016 Cutthroat Kitchen champion, so I’m disappointed that you didn’t love those tastings. I know your family does not eat pork, and as you know, the Dixie tour has a bit more pork, so you had many substitutions. I will certainly re-visit our substitutions for vegetarians on the Dixie Tour. Thanks again for your feedback, and I hope the next time you see a coconut, you’ll remember your West Palm Beach Food Tours.

Lauren did a great job guiding us around town and showing us the local spots that people go to eat. The walks in between definitely helped me to burn all that food I was eating throughout the tour haha I highly recommend you take this tour! You will not regret it
