Experience the enchantment of Monument Valley and immerse yourself in the Navajo culture with a homegrown guide!

The Dreamcatcher tour package is a 4 hour evening Navajo guided tour. It starts with a 2.5 hour evening tour through the iconic landscape of Monument Valley and allows you to explore backcountry routes and restricted areas. After the evening tour a traditional Navajo dinner will await you deep in the valley close to Rain God Mesa. The tour will conclude with a special entertainment program during which you can enjoy some traditional dancing, chanting(singing), drumming and storytelling while sitting around a campfire under the stars.

Participation in the Dreamcatcher tour adventure offers the perfect way to learn about the Navajo culture and to experience all the beauty and magic of Monument Valley! During the 2.5 hour tour you will visit sites such as the amazing Big Hogan arch,  the Sun's Eye arch and ancient petroglyphs (rock art),  the Ear of the Wind arch, the famous Totem Pole and Yei bi chei rock formations, John Fords Point and many more. You will also visit a traditional Navajo Hogan where you can witness the Navajo prepare their wool and demonstrate their craft of rug weaving!  As the sun begins to fade in the west and the stars begin to fill the Monument Valley skies, you will then visit the scenic setting of Rain God Mesa where our Navajo cooks will prepare traditional Navajo tacos with homemade frybread and grill steaks over a campfire.This night you will be able to enjoy your dinner in the greatest outdoor setting you can imagine!  The evening will continue with a special Navajo cultural entertainment program. This tour was all I hoped for when booking it. We were not disappointed. We were picked up by Jamie in an open air vehicle and he drove us through Monument Valley and he explained all the rock formations/monuments & some stories to it as well. He even took great pics with our camera of the two of us. After those 2 1/2 hours we went to our dinner side. There was a nice bonfire and a lady brought in the fresh food for us. Indian fry bread with all the toppings and a steak that Jamie, our native guide, threw on the grill in the fire for us. After serving the food to us, she left and Jamie changed clothing and he began to dance to the drum beat by Harold. The dances Jamie performed were Native American grass dancing style dances. Jamie performed quite a few different dances and Harold chanted & played the drum. We also talked for a bit and I could have sat there even longer and just listened to them and their stories. It was super interesting. After the performances & after dinner we left back to the hotel. I can highly recommend this tour. We will be definitely back one day!

In my opinion, this is the only way to experience Monument Valley. The guide was a local—well versed in the history and cultural significance of these beautiful lands to the Navajo people. When you go with a local guide, they can take you down the backcountry roads that are inaccessible to regular tourists. I saw so much beauty that afternoon and learned a ton that I wouldn't have learned otherwise. This was followed by a delicious dinner of Navajo taco and then a performance of traditional Navajo chanting and dancing. It was awesome. Thanks, John and Jamie!

Excellent trick. Ralph the organizer contacted us in advance via WhatsApp to explain how it would go, meeting point, Guide name, and followed up because there was a little delay. The tour was great, Cody, a Navajo Indian (Dinéh in real, Navajo being the name given by the Spanish but not well received by the elders) was great. We can't get to the right places if we go around on our own. The tour takes inaccessible paths and discovers beautiful places with explanations that go well. Dinner is not gourmet 😂 but the animation is nice with the old Indian who tells stories. I highly recommend because even if it is expensive, what we saw was great.
