This 2-hour dune buggy experience includes all safety gear and instruction as well as a dunes support team to help you on your adventure if you get stuck or need assistance!

Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area

Rent your dune buggy in Oceano, just 5 minutes down the road from Pismo Beach, at your selected time. Get fitted with your gear and receive a safety orientation. You will then hop on our complimentary beach shuttle which will drive you a mile down the beach to the OHV staging area. Hop in the driver's seat or passenger's seat of your fully automatic, Big Paddle Tirer Dune Buggy and zoom off through the Oceano Dunes.

The worst service in the company. In the begining when you are about to pay 270 usd for the experience they are very nice and polite. Before hopping the UTV we were given a map with a phone number in case we got stuck or needed something. A few minutes later we got stuck and for more than 20 minutes no one answered the call. We spend all out time waiting for someone to help us and no one did. We dediced to return and explain the manager the situation and in stead of helping us and understanding, he was rude and record us. Do not work with them

Team was very thorough in making sure we had the best experience, even when an (unrelated) unexpected incident put a pause to getting riders out as quickly as they would like. Provided great service out on the dunes, family had an absolute blast.

We booked a 1:00 reservation, showed up 10 minutes before thinking that would be sufficient. We were wrong! Took an hour and 40 minutes to get checked in, watch the 17 minute video (which nobody told us about when making the reservation), took the shuttle down to the sand and then waited a VERY long time before actually getting out on the sand. There were other customers they had to assist that came back in and there was damage to their dune buggy. So we had to wait around while they stopped helping us and instead dealt with them. Then when they came back to us realized what we had originally reserved wasn’t going to work with the ages and swapped us for different equipment. Overall the 3 kids had fun (4th decided she was done after the dune buggy died on them and they had to be towed back). No extra time was given for the dune buggy that died and had to swap it out for an ATV. Glad they had fun. Just whole process should be much smoother.
