Overall the tour was not good. Most places we were taken was about the punk rock scene. We thought it would encompass all genres. The tour had way too much walking for the small amount of places we visited. The tour guide was knowledgeable but not engaging with the tour group.

Hi Vanessa we're sorry you didn't enjoy your experience as everyone else in the group expressed how much they loved the tour. You booked the "Rock n' Punk Walking Tour" so yes there were punk locations but we also spoke about Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Clash, Stones, Bill Graham, Ramones, CB's, Iggy, Dolls and we even touched upon pop and jazz. Maybe punk rock is not your thing. Nevertheless we hoped you enjoyed your stay in New York City.

Totally recommended experience and highlight of my trip. You get a real sense of how the East Village must have felt back in the day and how it has changed. A social history as well as a musical one which gave the tour an added dimension. The detail and information was so interesting and really brought to life by Bobby with his photographs and visual materials. There is no way you would pick up on any of this by yourself so you get so much more out of exploring the area with Bobby’s guidance. I went solo and was a bit apprehensive about this but it was a lovely friendly group and I was put at ease by Bobby. This tour is appropriate for couples, friends, families (including teens) and also for people on their own. Bobby asked about everyone’s musical interests and recommended the Lou Reed exhibition to me which was enjoyable and I appreciated this personal touch. I purchased Bobby’s book which I really recommend and am enjoying reading as there is so much more to learn about. I only wish I could do all his tours and hope one day to get to experience the others. I actually would do this one again also as I think you could never tire of it. Thanks so much Bobby!
